Critical Application Monitoring; Control Specialist

Job Description:

This Cyber Security Analyst role will execute against the Cyber Security Application Monitoring strategy by building detection use case parameters for critical applications. To succeed in this role, you should have experience in Splunk and/or other logging technologies and be able to discuss Cyber Security detections with Application Managers.

You should also possess strong written and verbal communication skills including ability to communicate clearly and concisely to various levels, up to and including executive level management, and explain the need for key controls to technical and non-technical resources.

Technical skills required include but not limited to:

  • Information Security Controls
  • IT Compliance
  • Enterprise Risk Management
  • Application Security
  • Splunk and/or other logging technologies
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret application logs

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of IT or Cybersecurity (preferred) experience
  • Previous information technology/application oversight/logging and monitoring experience
  • Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to plan, execute and document assessment activities following established processes and procedures.

Enterprise Role Overview:

Operates tools and processes that provide cybersecurity defense. Uses technical expertise to provide systems disruption protection (DDoS), systems intrusion protection (IDS/IPS, WAF, Log Monitoring), network boundary protection (NAC, Firewalls), detects/prevents malware threats for applications and infrastructure and protects data leakage. Utilizes experience and deep knowledge of IT platforms, tools, and concepts to ensure cybersecurity protection is integrated into all layers of defense. Provides regular status updates to management team. Typically has 3-5 years of relevant experience in one or more threat prevention disciplines.

Colorado pay and benefits information

Colorado pay range:

$93,700 - $142,100 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible
