Global Renewable Energy Credit overview:

Within Bank of America’s Enterprise Credit unit, the Global Renewable Energy Credit team covers project finance (tax equity and debt) and corporate lending transactions to renewable energy and sustainable finance counterparties through their involvement in the origination and underwriting of transactions and the ongoing portfolio management process.

Primary Roles and responsibilities:

The Global Renewable Energy Credit Portfolio Manager will be responsible for the ongoing credit administration, monitoring, review, and analysis for a designated portfolio of tax equity (e.g., distributed generation solar, fuel cell, EV, storage) and debt project financings originated by the Global Sustainable Finance Group. The Portfolio Manager will:

Ensure compliance with the terms of and reporting requirements of transaction agreements.

  Evaluate and process project related consent requests (e.g., amendments, waivers, extensions) from clients.

  Perform periodic project performance and financial reviews of transactions.

Prepare and write periodic status reviews and update risk rating scorecards.

Monitor the credit profile of key transaction counterparties (e.g. borrowers, off-takers, project sponsors and servicers). 

Provide timely responses to inquiries on the portfolio from senior credit and risk management team members.

Additional roles and responsibilities:

The Portfolio Manager may also be involved in the execution of tranche fundings of closed tax equity and project finance transactions. 

The tranche funding process entails the Portfolio Manager working extensively with the client and the transactions Originators, Credit Underwriting, Risk Management, Engineering/Technical experts (internal and external), Modelling (internal and external), Legal counsel (internal and external), Appraisers, Finance and Tax teams (as needed) to ensure that all of the required documentation for a funding are in compliance and conditions precedent are satisfied before the release by BofA of the requested funds. 

During the tranche funding process, the Portfolio Manager will have significant interaction with clients, as well as the relevant internal and external subject matter experts.

New York pay and benefits information

New York pay range:

$89,900 - $160,000 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
