Role Description:

The GMO Risk Lead sits within the Global Market Operations Risk Function providing management and oversight of records management across Global Market Operations. This role will institute and maintain strong routines in support of the Core Operations functions for Global Market Operations. This position is highly visible and requires frequent interaction with Senior Management and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • You will ensure GMO is compliant with the records management policy and implement ongoing routines in any future changes
  • You will work with all the Line of Business’s to maintain a central records inventory, including identifying all the areas that create records, determine the controls that exist to support record requirements and strengthening as required
  • You will support the required Governance and Oversight process including metrics, QA, roles, and responsibilities. 
  • You will coordinate various EMEA based risk-based forums inc. production of materials / actions tracking
  • You will manage the Summary Record Inventory including ongoing routines to ensure accuracy
  • You will propose best practice and support implementation of newly established routines including communication and training

What we are looking for:

  • You will have knowledge of GMO or similar operational organisation and/or records management would be an advantage
  • You will have previous experience within a risk, regulatory compliance or audit function would be an advantage
  • You will have the ability to understand policy and regulatory requirements across different global jurisdictions

  • You will have excellent communications skills and ability to present to an audience
  • You will have the ability to work under pressure in a team environment
  • You will have the ability to liaise with all levels of the firm and people with different experiences and backgrounds
