Role Description:

The Currency, Commodities & Derivative Operations (CCDO) team perform end to end trade control, confirmation and settlements processes across CCDO businesses and provides utility Over the Counter (OTC) derivative confirmation and settlement services for non Fixed Income Clearing Corporation (FICC) businesses.

An interesting opportunity has arisen within the EMEA Commodities Settlement Team, based in Chester. The role involves being the point of contact for EMEA based clients for commodity settlements. The successful candidate will offer a premium service and become a subject matter expert, to address and resolve any issues or queries whilst managing the wider relationships between our external and internal Bank of America Clients and third party providers.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be Responsible for the settlement of physical precious metals and financial derivative trades for all indexes.
  • You will analyse accounts receivable and payable ageing, working with counterparties, sales, traders, third parties and the confirmation team.
  • You will maintain internal control processes and procedures within an operational awareness and risk culture environment.
  • You will undertake industry regulatory reporting tasks
  • You will fully understand the front to back trade cycle process and add value by challenging the current “status quo” through idea generation and the potential implementation of process improvements.
  • You will have involvement in projects and ad-hoc testing.
  • You will build and nurture relationships with applicable parties to include internal/external clients and third party service providers.
  • You will act as point of contact in manager’s absence, for department leads and other senior managers.

What we are looking for:

  • You will have a proven track record of process improvement and risk culture in previous roles
  • You will have previous experience managing stakeholders of all levels
  • You will have analytical skills and excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • You will have effective communication skills; running meetings and engaging with stakeholders of all levels

Skills that will help (optional):

  • Being competent with MS Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook will be an advantage in this role
  • Any previous experience of leading small teams will be a bonus
  • You will have excellent organizational skills - switching between tasks and prioritising work effectively
