Job Summary:

The individual in this role will lead and/or participate in the planning, designing, and implementation of complex infrastructure solutions involving cross-functional technical experts to meet specific deployment requirements aligned with available playbooks and technical blueprints. This individual is viewed as a multi-domain technology subject matter expert (SME); able to provide and communicate technology solutions across different audiences including technical, managerial, business executives, and/or vendors. This role oversees projects and direct activities related to special initiatives or operations.

This individual will lead the resolution process for problems where in-depth analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of various factors. In addition, this individual will exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.

This role will establish input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility, coordination of subsystems design, and integration of total system. The individual will also be responsible for the coordination and management of yearly Business Continuity exercises, Incident, Work Order and Change Implementation, support of maintenance, backups, patching and other normal day-to-day operational functions related to the vault solutions specified.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with technology stakeholders, Solution Delivery Management (SDM), Technology Project Managers (TPMs), solutions engineers and technical service providers for system design and deployment.
  • Provide consulting services to technology stakeholders, Core Technology Infrastructure (CTI) and technical partners.
  • Execute procedures reliably and escalates appropriately to solve incidents quickly
  • Support change implementations and proactively identify potential issues resulting from the changes.
  • Perform access and/or physical provisioning / de- provisioning (additions, modifications, and deletions) for infrastructure and applications.
  • Resolve complex technical and/or business issues
  • Fulfill requests from business users and operations
  • Communicate technical status updates with appropriate teams
  • Provide release support when needed and manage work engagement
  • Manage stability, resiliency, reliability, and the performance of multiple supported systems
  • Provide full lifecycle management of the infrastructure and application environments.
  • Coordination and management of yearly Business Continuity testing
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call coverage follow the sun model

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years advanced scripting skills (Python a huge plus)
  • 5+ years solid Linux/UNIX experience. Emphasis on scripting, automation, and performance.
  • Strong RedHat Enterprise Linux system administration skills
  • Shell scripting and SQL query experience
  • Experience configuring, troubleshooting with an understanding of the ssh protocol and public key authentication
  • Working Knowledge of privilege elevation tools - for ex. PowerBroker
  • Load Balancing Technologies
  • Web services software
  • Experience working with DBMS technologies
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Must be able to communicate at all organizational levels
  • Self-motivated, confident, and reliable
  • Willing to work in a team-oriented environment with global team members
  • Must be a problem solver with root cause analysis skills who brings solutions to the team
  • Ability to document installation procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), etc.
  • Experience with ITSM Remedy or other ITSM tools

 

Desired Skills:

  • Excellent understanding of Linux operating systems administration
  • Systematic problem-solving approach, sense of ownership and drive
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication (written, verbal, and presentation) skills are a must

Jersey City pay and benefits information

Jersey City pay range:

$90,700 - $149,900 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible
