Job Description:

Bank of America is committed to ensuring fair and consistent treatment for Consumer and Small Business remediation efforts. To drive enterprise wide consistency & accuracy, the Remediation team provides ‘in house’ remediation for impacts to Bank of America (the Bank)’s customers. Remediation consists of dedicated resources with expertise to manage the end-to-end execution of ongoing and one-time remediation efforts.

The Remediation Team performs customer remediation for the following products:

  • U.S. Consumer Card
  • U.S. Consumer Checking
  • U.S. Consumer Savings
  • U.S. Small Business Checking
  • U.S. Small Business Savings
  • U.S. Small Business Card
  • Consumer Finance (Gold Option/Gold Reserve)

The primary function of this role will be developing code and providing oversight to automated queries within the team.  A strong knowledge of SAS Enterprise Guide application is required.  This role will need to perform analysis including development, testing and implementation of SQL / SAS code at a more complex level to identify transactions and account updates meeting the Remediation effort (defect / audit issue) for products supported by the team.  Utilizes established databases including, but not limited to Teradata, W, Hadoop, and Python.  Must also demonstrate strong experience with MS Office products such as Outlook, Excel. Duties primarily include the regular use of discretion and independent judgment.

Required Skills: (Must have these skills to be minimally qualified)

  • Prior knowledge and experience with Consumer (card/deposit) and Small Business products including types of fees, payment applications, interest calculation, rewards, statements.  Ability to navigate in customer System Of Record (TSYS, Impact/BOSS, Rewards SuperStation) to confirm and research transactions.
  • Working knowledge of key applications including SAS Enterprise Guide application, SQL Server, Sasgrid, JAMS Client. Additional systems include Java, CSS, PowerShell, Visual Studios 2017, Horizon and Python.  Knowledge of databases including Teradata, W, Hadoop database structures including table organization, ability to identify key fields and data.
  • Strong analytic skills including ability to analyze data to drive differentiated performance.  Manage, structure, and consolidate large amounts of data (building in validation to ensure accuracy).
  • 5+ years of project management and/or related experience
  • Ability to collect, organize and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy along with ability to multitask while managing multiple files.
  • Ability to present the data and communicate effectively (verbal and written), including ability to present to executive level leadership.
  • Basic understanding of the businesses they support and the front-to-back impact of their processes.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of regulations impacting customer remediation (i.e. Reg Z, Reg B, Reg CC, Reg E, UDAAP).  Satisfactory completion of Regulatory Training programs.
  • Remediation Processes - Ability to review existing remediation code and implement with minimal parameter changes.  Familiarity with Remediation processes and tools (Fee Refund and Waiver Application).
  • Proven history of applying creativity & logic to solve problems.
  • Ability to work in a fast pace and changing environment.

Job Profile Summary:

Responsible for performing more complex analysis and modeling for multiple products with the goal of maximizing profits and asset growth and minimizing risk and operating losses and/or other financial and marketing exposures. Develops complex program models to extract data and uses multiple databases to acquire statistical and financial data. Utilizes portfolio trends to propose policy/procedural changes within segmentation structure to produce optimal results. Excels at risk/reward trade off. Build relationships with external agencies. Participates in the rollout of company-wide pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models. Duties primarily include the regular use of discretion, independent judgment, the ability to communicate with multiple levels of management and the utilization of core leadership behaviors. SAS and/or MicroStrategy experience preferred; 2-5 years' experience preferred.
