Vice President, Business Support Manager, Global Markets

The Business Support Manager

The Business Support Manager role within the Strategic Initiatives team  will lead the end to end delivery of high priority, complex Global Markets initiatives.  This includes working through all phases of project delivery from defining business requirements, project planning, design, testing and implementation.  The individual will need to work collaboratively with Global Markets, Technology, Operations, Finance, Risk and other departments to develop the approach and plans to deliver the initiatives as well as assisting LoBs and support partners prepare annual funding submissions and intake change controls.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading large, cross-line of business initiatives and understanding of the Bank of America Enterprise Change Management Policies and Standards.  The ability to partner and effectively communicate across the organization is an important factor in successfully delivering projects.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with global and regional business and enterprise control partners to plan and lead regional GM projects as well as prepare and submit materials for annual initiative planning cycle and funding change control submissions
  • Knowledge of FICC and Equities products, Emerging Markets, competitive and regulatory landscape to meaningfully contribute to identifying opportunities, gaps and emerging risks in project deliverables
  • Effectively manage the end to end delivery of Global Markets initiatives
  • Lead project teams to develop and execute initiative delivery plans
  • Partner with initiative stakeholders across Global Markets business leaders, technology managers, data management, risk and other functions to develop initiative delivery plans and implement solutions
  • Establish and lead initiative routines
  • Identify, track and resolve issues and risks related to the initiative
  • Review and track financial costs related to the Global Markets initiatives
  • Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience leading large scale, cross-line of business initiatives
  • Experience successfully delivering complex regulatory initiatives
  • Knowledge of processes, procedures and policies that govern change and technology at Bank of America, including the Bank of America's Enterprise Change Management Policies and Standards
  • Ability to effective communicate complex and/or technical information
  • Organized and able to work on multiples tasks with limited supervision Highly motivated with excellent time management & prioritization skills
  • Outstanding business and technical acumen of Global Markets products and supporting technology
  • Strategic with good business acumen
  • Culturally sensitive with the ability to work effectively among different countries and regions
  • Presents well to senior and global business heads
  • Ability to partner closely with other BMs, COOs and support functions
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent proficiency using Microsoft office products, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word
