National Sales Manager

Job Description:

Retirement & Personal Wealth Solutions (RPWS) serves the core financial needs of individual clients and plan participants by providing best in class, integrated products in the most intuitive, efficient and client friendly way while maintaining a forward-thinking mindset and risk management focus. RPWS is responsible for both the institutional retirement capability set to include 401(k), Equity and Health Benefit plans for companies of all sizes. RPWS also provides tools and content that enables advisors and bankers to help their clients live their best financial lives.
The RPWS Institutional National Sales Desk / Advisor Designation Program Manager is responsible for leading the internal sales desk with internal sales coordination, sales support and driving proactive sales activities with the team. The associate will be responsible for facilitating coordination across the RPWS Specialist Teams with the internal sales desk associates to increase sales activity and providing support in the sales process. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for the managing the RPWS Advisor Designation Program with over 2,900 advisors across 5 programs nationwide.
  • Lead and manage team consisting of two Sales Desk Managers and the internal sales desk for coverage and partnership in Financial Life Benefits sales process
  • Partner and coordinate with RPWS National and Divisional Sales Managers and Sales Desk Managers for management of pairings with specialists and internals for appropriate coverage
  • Partner and collaborate with product partners for sales ideas, trainings, and initiatives to enhance product offerings
  • Drive sales process efficiencies including tools leveraged (Fiduciary Advisory Services Portal and SalesForce.com)
  • Review and manage pipeline management protocols ensuring accurate sales forecasting and reporting
  • Creation and implementation of sales campaigns to drive sales activities
  • Remain current on legislative updates, product enhancements & sales strategies
  • Accountable for driving sales growth across Financial Life Benefits products and solutions
  • Responsible for oversight, governance, communications, reporting and strategy for the Advisor Designation programs.

Required skills:

  • Series 7, 24, and Series 66 licenses required (or ability obtain within Compliance Deadline)
  • Five years or more experience with Retirement or Employee Benefits plan experience (sales or client centric servicing experience preferred)
  • Ability to communicate complex information to a wide variety of personnel in a clear, concise and well-organized manner
  • Strong interpersonal/rapport building skills are required to build relationships
  • Proficiency in use of MS Office suite of tools
  • Familiarity with managing activities and pipeline in a CRM tool (experience with SalesForce.com is preferred)
  • Ability to travel when required - 10%
