Cyber Resolution Senior Analyst - Cyber Security Operations

Job Description:

The Global Information Security organization (GIS) at Bank of America protects bank information systems, confidential and proprietary data, and customer information. The Cyber Threat Defense Operations Team (CTDO) assesses threats and emerging risks, evaluates cyber security controls and defines observations to remediate risks. The Cyber Threat Defense Operations Program:

  • Analyzes threats and incidents to the bank
  • Identifies gaps to be remediated by control owners, observation Item owners, and policy and standard owners
  • Evaluates and influences the improvement of Bank of America’s risk and control environment for cyber security threats and emerging risks

The Resolution Senior Analyst will help keep the bank secure by working with Resolution Analysts to successfully identify, document and close problems identified by CTDO Threat Evaluation. They will work closely with peers and CTDO leadership to escalate observations as formal issues and initiatives critical and at-risk observations. The Senior Analyst will engage with CTDO Program function leads to effectively communicate the bank's risk of exposure to a threat. Working in an open and collaborative environment with a global presence, the Senior Analyst will collaborate with team members across the function to provide insight on opportunities for closure. Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and manage Integrate with CTDO Program's resolution function to remediate escalate  identified problems individually, or in aggregate, for consideration as formal issues or initiatives
  • Identify and validate the correct teams to close observations
  • Engage with global technology issues management and initiatives teams to represent the threat and confirm
  • Advocate for the closure of observations
  • Evaluated observation closure to confirm full remediation of the bank’s risk of exposure to a given threat
  • Partner with issues management and remediation team to advocate for the creation of net new issues based on themes or identified observations, and maintain insights into issue closure progress
  • Work with CTDO Analysts to document and validate the closure of actions

Essential Skills
Knowledge and experience engaging with senior leadership and responding to risk and compliance requests are key to this role. A strong candidate will have extraordinary communication skills and be comfortable synthesizing complex information, empowering GIS senior leaders to effectively communicate to internal risk and audit partners, and external regulators. 

This leader will work with others to solve new and challenging problems in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This team within the CTDO is entering its second year and is an ideal environment for a leader who enjoys building as they work. As the function continues to mature and refine itself, it offers an outstanding opportunity for the right candidate to develop and demonstrate their skills.

Desired Skills

  • Previous experience within cyber security is not required, but a willingness to learn and explore is a must.
  • This is a highly visible role, and the right candidate will enjoy working across teams with a diverse group of thought leaders.
  • Previous experience with remediation is beneficial.

Colorado pay and benefits information

Colorado pay range:

$135,000 - $180,000 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
