Production Services Specialist II

Job Description:

Managing and implementing end-to-end Linux based infrastructure that hosts many critical core components such as Database, GRID Computing, Enterprise Job Schedulers & Messaging Platforms. Supporting and monitoring application infrastructure and various internal core components and dependent technologies. Ensures application issues on supported infrastructures are
addressed, proactively fixed even before user impact. Will work on tool development, automation, release management, troubleshooting issues, Capacity & DR
planning. Administer weekend work rotation and holiday coverage schedule. Review all incident and changes for the shift. Including attending incident and change review calls.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge in Linux OS internals and Operational OS skills.
  • Expertise in handling overall IT Infrastructure & Scheduled maintenance
  • Monitoring of the Core environment & components.
  • Process adherence and efficiency in handling Incident and problem management.
  • Excellent Operational skills, troubleshooting Production issues and identifying Root Cause & Prevention

Desired Skills:

  • Background in large financial institution
  • Ability to link business context to technical requirements
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment whilst meeting deadlines
  • Experience in application/network performance and availability monitoring.
  • Ability to link business context to technical requirements
