Bank of America Dublin has an exciting permanent opportunity available for a talented individual as an Ops Professional within EMEA FICC Securities Operations. Based in Central Park, Dublin 18, the purpose of the team is to provide efficient trade allocation, settlement and operational support for our trading desks and institutional clients.

The role will be focussed on performing & developing control functions and the optimisation of settlement rates across the wider EMEA FICC Securities Operations group. The associate will also be responsible for contributing towards various projects that the team is currently engaged on, including changes resulting from CSDR, Repo support build out, DXM-DTCC Exception Manager and Automation.

As an Ops Professional of EMEA FICC Securities Operations, your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Control functions for the wider EMEA FICC Securities Operations team – perform control functions and securities settlements to optimise settlement rates for trading desks and our clients
  • Review fails, breaks and other Key Risk Indicators – with a focus on helping to resolve items, developing controls and addressing root cause
  • Review depot balances with a view of ensuring good use of assets across depots
  • Analysis of CSDR penalties
  • Work closely with trading, sales and clients, technology & settlement teams globally to optimise settlement rates and to manage CSDR penalties and charges
  • Identification and implementation of process improvements within the Dublin team
  • Input into strategic work and supporting projects that impact the team
  • Ensure any changes are reflected in procedures and that they are communicated effectively to impacted parties

As an Ops Professional of Securities Operations, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

  • Experience, preferably in Securities Operations, in a large financial services organisation with demonstrated success
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Experience with process improvement and has SQL/VBA knowledge a bonus
  • Influencing and diplomacy skills; ability to present a viable solution and obtain buy-in
  • Ability to understand and manage the sensitivities of different stakeholders at different levels
  • Self-motivated and can inspire others to follow your lead
  • Excellent organisational skills are required with the ability to prioritise workload
  • Acts as a champion for diversity, creating an environment that values diverse backgrounds
