Fair Banking Research & Analysis Risk Specialist II

Job Description:

Responsible for performing complex analysis and is engaged in the development of modeling that maximizes profits and asset growth and minimizes credit and operating losses and other risk exposures. Provides analytical support on various product strategies to ensure company goals are met. Coordinates the production of performance reports for Senior Management. Reviews and analyzes trends in current population distributions and recommends strategies. May participate in or develop complex program models to extract data and use databases to provide statistical and financial modelling.

Master's degree or large data experience preferred; Programming experience and relevant degree or large data experience required.

Position is responsible for performing complex statistical analysis and modeling to support the Fair Lending Program and compliance with Bank of America Fair Lending Policy and all Fair Lending laws, rules, and regulations. Incumbent will develop, strengthen and validate in-house fair banking modeling and analysis programs used to identify fair banking risks in non-credit consumer products and services. Additionally, this role will work to develop and strengthen processes for data mining, assessment, and validation to ensure usability and reliability of the data. Must prepare and present statistical analysis and reports to support regulatory requests and examinations as well as presentation to business units. Additional special projects related to Fair Banking compliance will be assigned in addition to day to day responsibilities.
 

Required Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in applied statistics, operations research, mathematics, physics, or similar quantitative discipline
• Advanced SAS programming or similar experience building analytical models
• Demonstrated experience with managing and manipulating large datasets
• Ability to clearly communicate complex statistical concepts and modeling results either orally or in writing
• Ability to work independently or as part of a group
• Disciplined project management skills to meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Desired Skills:
• Experience with risk modeling for financial institutions
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for UDAAP and Fair Lending
• Consumer banking experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
