Consumer Product Strategy Manager I

The Client Protection Fraud Risk Strategies organization is looking for a highly motivated strategies professional to support fraud mitigation in the Emerging Risk area with a critical focus on digital and account take over strategy. A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate not only strong analytical skills, but an understanding of process management including how different technology systems integrate to allow for transactional fraud risk monitoring. Strategic vision and proactive problem solving skills will be crucial for success.

In this role, you will be expected to work with our Product, Policy and Technology teams as well as our internal analytics to migrate data platforms and deploy advanced analytical solutions with the goal of reducing fraud losses, improving client experience, and ensuring the Bank minimizes its total cost of fraud.  Some tasks that this role may be responsible for include (but are not limited to):

  • Develop the data strategy for client protection to ensure the organization has the proper data to make the right decisions, with a priority on data availability in real-time, and generating true customer-level views able to make intelligent fraud decisions leveraging the entirety of our interactions with a customer

  • Design and implement digital authentication and account take over strategies to create and optimize fraud rules to manage risk and client experience

  • Experience in data management solutions architecture, development, and deployment

  • Quality assurance monitoring tracking to raise issues with technology - platform performance and data quality.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong SAS and SQL skills with commensurate experience in a large database platform

  • Knowledge of workflow/schedulers

  • Experience in data management solutions architecture, development, and deployment

  • A strong willingness to learn new technologies and ability to think critically

Required Skills:

  • There is no minimal educational experience required.  An advanced degree is preferred, but lesser levels of education with the appropriate skills and experience will be considered as well

  •  At least 3 year of experience in analysis

  • 3+ years of experience in SAS or SQL querying

Preferred Skills:

  • The candidate must be at an advanced to expert level on SQL/SAS on large data platforms.  Python and other language skills strongly preferred

  • Relevant experience of working in big data environment including 2 + years in analytics, with preference working in financial services

  • Candidate must have a proven track record of building and deploying analytical solutions that have resulted in material financial results and extensive analytical experience.  Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is critical.  Must have exceptional organizational, project management and communications skills.

Desired Skills:

  • 3- 8 years of relevant experience in field of big data analytics

  • Hive, PySpark, SQL, data analytics and Python

  • U.S financial services experience preferable

  • Have strong statistical knowledge

  • Understanding of business domains like Fraud/Compliance/Risk preferable

Manages a group of analysts that are responsible for performing strategic analysis to improve portfolio risk, profitability, performance forecasting and operational performance for consumer products and related divisions, such as credit cards. This position requires determining key priorities for their team while also providing analytical and technical guidance to analysts to drive project completion. Key functions involve developing asset quality monitoring, identifying business trends based on economic and portfolio conditions, and executing strategic enhancements. Manages the team's analysis focusing on criteria margins, model score use, forecasting, portfolio trends, and demographic performance. Responsible for conducting interviews, training Card Strategy/ Consumer Products Analysts, and guiding all aspects of project development. Communicates business trends creates financial assessments and interprets analytics for senior management. Proven experience at developing technical skills of their team. Sound knowledge of SAS / SQL, financial statements, and business processes preferred. 5+ years Strategy Management experience preferred
