Consumer Investments - Operational Excellence Manager

Job Description:

The primary function of Consumer Investments Operational Excellence Manager is to drive and support process optimization. Specifically, initiatives stemming from line of business feedback and/or formal program outputs.

On a routine basis, our executive leadership team assesses initiative work across our organization to ensure we are driving operational excellence. As an Operational Excellence manager, you will play a critical role in in this effort by driving tactical initiatives. These initiatives can include streamlining workflow and business procedure, enhancing client forms, and improving associate resources. In doing so, you will need to establish a vast network of partners across a variety of business areas (Front Line Units, Academy, Communications, Reporting and Analytics, Legal, Risk, and Compliance). In addition to driving change, a critical element of the role is supporting adoption to those changes. To do this, the Operational Excellence Manager will need to actively track and monitor the success of recently implemented changes and subsequently work with LOB leaders to support tactical measures to improve performance. This type of work requires a highly organized individual who can effectively manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously. These projects will need to be packaged and presented to a variety of partners both for approval and adoption. With this in mind, the incumbent candidate must have exceptional communication and presentation skills.

In addition to Operational Excellence responsibilities, this role will be involved with Single Process Inventory (SPI) work as well as cross training on some Change Management responsibilities.

Required Skills:

  • 7 years industry experience, 3 of which with Consumer Investments
  • Previous initiative and/or project management experience
  • Leadership experience is not required, but highly recommended
  • Track record for building and maintaining strong partnerships across multiple business areas
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working with senior business leadership
  • Knowledge and experience with all major Merrill Edge LOB’s including the Field

Jersey City pay and benefits information

Jersey City pay range:

$65,200 - $110,000 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible
