Senior Operations Consultant - Specialty Lending

Charlotte, North Carolina;

Job Description:

The Specialty Lending team provides fulfillment, service, and operations across our specialty wholesale credit lines of business including Asset Based Lending and Dealer Financial Services as well as support for Middle Market, Small Business Banking and Global Commercial Bank construction loans.  The candidate will have responsibility for the following:

  • Serves as Employee Engagement champion which includes leading Specialty Lending Employee Engagement Council meetings and providing feedback/ideas to senior leaders

  • Partner with the senior leaders to develop and deliver employee engagement action plans

  • Solicit and analyze metrics (event attendance, employee engagement survey results, client survey results, etc.) and employee feedback data

  • Coordinate All Hand Calls and 2-Deep Leadership calls

  • Create Monthly Business Review presentations and review with senior leaders

  • Provide support and expertise in PowerPoint; suggest effective ways to visually represent information, applying graphic design skills

  • Resource management (hiring requests, workforce reporting, mandatory training tracking, global recognition budget tracking)

  • Group Communications - Manage targeted and organization-wide communications for various channels

  • Produce reports, craft meeting agendas, provide operational support assistance as needed

Required Skills:

  • Ability to work with and influence executive leadership and key partners to identify areas of opportunity and corresponding action plans focused on improvement of the employee experience

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and WebEx - is able to extract and present data in Excel

  • Creativity - be able to suggest Employee Engagement ideas and coordinate events to facilitate team meetings/activities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as the role requires to communication to senior leaders

  • Presentation experience across varying organizational levels

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment

  • Ability to think analytically, utilize good research skills, develop multiple solutions, and know what resources to engage to resolve issues

  • Demonstrates “self-starter” behavior, a willingness to help others, and shows potential to require minimal supervision

  • Strong attention to detail; exercise strong quality control over own work

  • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere and exhibit flexibility

  • Strives to bring new thoughts and ideas to teams in order to drive innovation and unique solutions

Desired Skills:

  • BS/BA Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required

  • Prior employee engagement experience

  • Prior writing experience, communications or journalism degree preferred

  • Experience with webcast hosting and video recording

  • Experience with InfoPath and SharePoint Development

  • Familiarity with Commercial Lending
