
Job Description:
Analytics and Business Case Support Team is part of the Consumer/GWIM CFO organization. Primary focus of this job is to provide analytics, business case support and profitability views for Small Business lending (non card). Business partners include Business Financial Officer (BFO), Sales, Product, Pricing, Credit Risk, Credit Strategies, Marketing Strategies and other CFO teams like Balance Sheet Management, Enterprise Capital Management, and Treasury team among others.
This position’s main responsibility is to provide financial analysis support primarily for one or more Secured Lending products in support of Consumer, GWIM, & Other lines of business (LOB). Support includes
Partners with BFOs, Product leaders, and LOB members and operates as key analytical point person
Primary responsible party for developing develop business cases using models, CUS, and inputs from BFOs, Product Leader SMEs, and LOB partners leveraging the team’s financial valuation methodologies.
Maintains and develops newly needed analytics for one of the Secured Lending products. Proactively develops and highlight new trends, calls out outliers, produces value add findings and reporting
Produce monthly profitability/P&L views for new originations and existing portfolios. These P&L views are forward projections of profitability by Product, Sales Channel, and more.
Support ad-hoc requests from BFO’s and LOB partners. Typically include what-if, pro forma analysis and data mining requests
Execute on Analytics team vision of empowering users to make actionable decisions driven by insights gathered from using Tableau and Alteryx
Use Tableau and Alteryx to drive operational excellence across the entire Secured Lending team
Drive analytics capability and reporting progress across all Secured Lending Products
Required Skills:
Experience with Business Intelligence tools (i.e. Tableau), extract/load/transform tools (i.e. Alteryx) and SQL
Highly organized, self-starter, creative thinker with strong analytical skills
Strong communication/presentation skills – ability to communicate vertically and horizontally within the organization
Must have a minimum of 5+ years of financial analysis experience
Advanced Excel and Data mining /manipulation
Familiarity with building models
Quantitative / statistical skills
Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and be able to communicate effectively in a matrix organization
Able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with Lending product concepts like Held for investment, Term loan, revolving line of credit, Prepayment etc.
Familiarity with valuation concepts like cost of capital, Hurdle rate, Share Holder Value, Return on Equity
