Sr. Data Technology Analyst

Job Description:

With guidance from the Test Execution Manager, develops and administers EDOT DQT's reporting tool(s).  Responsible for daily and ongoing development and maintenance of the tool(s) through applying fixes, updates and enhancements as required in support of all levels of test execution reporting.  Key role in communication and reporting on the collective body of testing work being performed and proactively and positively influences any resistance received from data stakeholders.

Focuses on sustainability/stability of current state while establishing future state processes. Leads the automation solutions and continuous automation efforts for EDOT DQT's test execution reporting.

Candidate will be responsible for multiple, simultaneous efforts and will utilize analytical and technical skills to execute assigned responsibilities.

Proactively identifies process and procedural enhancements with respect to reporting tools.  Actively monitors the testing team's adherence to established testing policies and procedures, employing professional skepticism to ensure high quality for, and defendability of, all accepted testing data and evidence.

Responsible for the day to day reporting activities and completion of the collective body of reporting work – includes timely communications for appropriate awareness and escalation of reporting activities.

Works closely with business and technology stakeholders to establish tools and standardized reports to support testing activities and establishes proactive checks and balance activities to avoid delays to reporting timelines.
 

Required Skills:

  • 5-7 Years of experience in Independent Testing,  Application Management and/or Data Management

  • Strong data quality knowledge (Accuracy, completeness, timeliness dimensions, data risk mitigation, etc.)

  • Technical:  ETL, DB development, SQL, Teradata, Quality Center, Macros, Excel/Access, PowerPoint, Perforce

  • Strong understanding of database concepts like (views, primary keys, table joins)

  • Strong oral & written communication and comfortable presenting to a wide variety of audiences

  • Comfortable leading and influencing with and without direct authority

  • Resourceful/ proactive in situations when not all information is available or there is no apparent “right" answer

  • Strong understanding / experience on Automation tools (UFT / Selenium etc.)

  • Capable to navigate conflict to enable productive solutions

  • Close attention to detail

  • Experience working on global delivery model

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of Python or BI tools a plus

  • Experience as part of an Audit organization or a deep history of interactions with Audit (Internal and External)

  • Strong Project Planning/Management

  • Basic knowledge of Tableau and/or other reporting tools

  • Familiarity Policy/Governance and Data Related Laws, Rules, Regulations

  • Banking Domain Knowledge

  • Ability to quickly navigate a complex organization

  • Strong verbal and written communication ability

  • Collaborative and takes ownership to ensure the quality of the product

  • Test Automation Understanding and Experience
