Job Description:

Bank of America has a Senior Tax Analyst position within an expanding Global Banking and Markets Tax Operations function supporting US IRW Global Markets across multiple product lines. The position is an ideal role for a highly motivated, resourceful and ambitious individual who enjoys working in a collaborative and fast paced environment.

The role will require the successful candidate to:

  • Analyze, maintain, and reconcile US IRW tax withholding accounts.
  • Extract data from multiple systems and maintain complex spreadsheets.
  • Service tax related client inquiries.
  • Partner with internal functions and vendors supporting US IRW withholding and reporting.
  • Assist in tax initiatives and tax regulatory implementations.

Required Skills: (Must have these skills to be minimally qualified)

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, in particular excel.
  • Strong reconciliation and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to multi task and work independently in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Understanding of US tax information withholding and reporting under IRC Chapter 3,4 and 61.
  • Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar major preferred and a basis understanding of and/or experience in the financial services industry.

Uses established techniques to analyze and resolve complex operations support problems/initiatives requiring exception handling and/or coordination of multiple operational and/or product/services specialists to resolve. May assist in managing projects and/or introduction of new initiatives, systems, products and services and processes coordination across multiple operations functions. Employees will have college degree (Associates or higher) or comparable work experience. Required skills include: expert Excel knowledge, detail orientation, ability to manage multiple priorities and multi task, excellent time management and prioritization skills, with ability to meet tight deadlines, ability and willingness to continuously learn on the job, ability to problem-solve and take ownership of process improvements, ability to work in a team environment, excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate with various stakeholders.
