Team Overview: The Consumer Privacy and Consumer Data Management Team brings together leadership and oversight of a diverse range of data-related initiatives and works to advance both control and business enablement priorities. The team’s scope includes formal responsibilities under the Enterprise Data Management program as well as a Consumer-specific effort to understand and oversee all the ways Consumer data is used. In addition, the team includes leading Consumer privacy, the aggregator/ connected banking program, and Consumer Records Management.
Based on the diverse and crucial nature of the team’s activities, the team has ongoing, detailed engagement with MTM leaders and executives across Enterprise Data Management, Technology, and GWIM as well as Consumer. The team is pioneering a more holistic model for data ownership that is helping to chart the course for other teams across the enterprise.
Role Overview: We have established Business Data Owner roles for several key data types to drive our data strategy more proactively and strengthen LOB ownership of data remediation and business enablement priorities. The key responsibilities of a Business Data Owner are
In light of the strong MTM-level focus on enterprise data strategy, the Business Data Owner roles are high-profile leadership positions with significant exposure to the Consumer and Enterprise Data Management leadership teams.
The Fraud & Collections Business Data Owner will work with the LOB Fraud and Collections teams and users of Fraud and Collections data across the enterprise to understand their needs and ensure they have clean, accurate, fit-for-purpose data. To do so the BDO will work with data capture process owners and others to ensure appropriate end-to-end controls are in place for regulatory as well as non-regulatory uses. The BDO will partner with data users and technology teams to ensure analytic and production uses operate off consistent data and establish a target-state data architecture. Finally the Fraud BDO will plan and oversee Fraud & Collections adoption of Authorized Data Sources and support the rollout of broader Consumer data strategy.
