Team Overview: The Consumer Privacy and Consumer Data Management Team brings together leadership and oversight of a diverse range of data-related initiatives and works to advance both control and business enablement priorities. The team’s scope includes formal responsibilities under the Enterprise Data Management program as well as a Consumer-specific effort to understand and oversee all the ways Consumer data is used. In addition, the team includes leading Consumer privacy, the aggregator/ connected banking program, and Consumer Records Management.
Based on the diverse and crucial nature of the team’s activities, the team has ongoing, detailed engagement with MTM leaders and executives across Enterprise Data Management, Technology, and GWIM as well as Consumer. The team is pioneering a more holistic model for data ownership that is helping to chart the course for other teams across the enterprise.
Role Overview: We have established Business Data Owner roles for several key data types to drive our data strategy more proactively and strengthen LOB ownership of data remediation and business enablement priorities. The key responsibilities of a Business Data Owner are:
The External Data BDO will assume responsibility for the management of large, complex data sets sourced externally including Credit Bureau data and ‘off-us’ client data sourced and used through our partnership with Epsilon. The BDO will work with business and CXO partners to identify opportunities to use new types of data to unlock new growth avenues or enhanced experiences for our clients, and then oversee the sourcing and provision of that data in an efficient and effective manner. The BDO will partner with the aggregator/connected banking team to pursue opportunities to leverage aggregators where appropriate to source client-permissioned data from other entities. The BDO will manage production processes associated with credit bureau data including prescreens and bureau refresh processes. The BDO will pull the diverse sources and needs for external data together into a holistic strategy to source and manage external data efficiently and drive the business forward.
