Release\Deployment Project Manager

Job Description:

This role is a Release and Deployment Project Manager role critical to the success of the AAA Engineering Release and deployment schedule. Without this critical role and only having a temporary contractor fulfilling this activity, we are at risk of not having a resource if the existing contractor leaves.​ We must have a permanent FTE resource responsible for this activity.

  • Bachelor's or master's degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field / work experience

  • Minimum of 3+ years of project management experience and/or change management experience.

  • 7+ years' experience in Information Technology or related function Highly proficient in the use of Remedy change/Incident management system.

  • Project management experience and/or PMP certification Experience with agile methodology.​

Desired Skills

  • A blend of project management, IT and communication skills.

  • Ability to facilitate and manage implementation/release deployment/incident activities and partner with other functions/individuals.

  • Proven ability to build commitment and empower others, communicate with clarity, courage and timeliness.

  • Effective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources may not be in direct control of this role.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity, can handle the unexpected with flexibility. Experience in network engineering role for network or AAA technology Experience working in a financial services firm in a technology role

Initiates and provides leadership, strategic/tactical direction and planning input on all information technology and client/business area issues and in the development of an IT environment which meets current and anticipated business requirements and objectives. Participates with IT management in the development of technology products, service standards and development efforts that impact the client/business area. Serves as a single point of contact and the escalation point between the client/business area and internal IT management for the resolution of unresolved problems, complaints and complex service requests. Provides the client areas with technology products and service alternatives that improve the IT service delivery process. Associates in this job code do not manage people.
