Centralized Accruals Analyst – Tech Finance

Job Description:

Teammate will support and assist Global Technology’s monthly accrual and prepaid process.  This role will lead the day-to-day operations from a data management perspective covering Consumer, Small Business, Wealth Management Technology. Additionally, as required, this role supports other groups within Global Technology and Operations with accruals management. This role supports achievement of business goals by working on more complex activities or projects with others within the unit and with partners.

Key responsibilities and competencies

  • Partnership with Accrual, Technology Finance forecasting and / or other Staff Support teams along with their business partners to assist with the end-to-end tracking of contracts for the accrual process (Includes researching contract terms and amounts).

  • End-to-end invoice tracking for accrual process / forecasting, and matching expenses with contracts.

  • Balance sheet management including balance sheet account reconciliations for the accrual process.

  • End-to-end accrual journal entry process.

  • Provide accrual reporting and communications to Finance and LOB partners.

  • Supporting data analytics, data extracts, etc for the accrual and prepaid processes.

  • Support further development of CAFA (our accrual application)

  • Any other ad hoc duties around the accrual process

Required Skills:

  • Advanced Excel proficiency

  • Data Manipulation

  • BS/BA (Finance / Accounting Preferred) or equivalent work experience

  • Accounting, Audit or GAAP compliance experience

  • Strong understanding of proper documentation and control procedures

  • Strong understanding of accounting, accounts payable procedures and accrual methodologies.

Desired Skills:

  • SAP/eLedger/Bex reporting/EPM

  • Hyperion/Essbase/Smartview (FCSTRPT and Accounts Payable cubes)

  • Ariba
