Centralized Automation Team Developer

Key responsibilities include business analyst work, documentation, project management, support, and operational work.
This role applies technical and business knowledge to identify, research, analyze and resolve complex problems. May sometimes participate in design, development and implementation of enhancements to our technologies and/or processes. Works under supervision on special projects requiring creative solutions.
In this role, you will participate in multiple special projects, and occasionally lead special projects. A specialist II will begin to develop leadership skills by developing junior staff through coaching and guidance with light hands-on supervision from management to complete deliverables.

Job Description:
Enterprise Independent Testing (EIT) is a center of excellence that conducts independent testing throughout the year globally across the company, providing ongoing feedback to monitor (and improve) processes. EIT has established itself as the enterprise utility to test all end-to-end processes on behalf of Second Line of Defense, Frontline Units (FLUs) and Control Functions (CFs), enabling more efficient and effective testing. EIT is transforming the way testing is built and executed with digital transformation, implementing automation and leveraging cutting edge Artificial Intelligence/Natural Language Processing technologies. EIT carries a portfolio of 8,000+ tests and has a global footprint employing 2,300+ testing professionals across the United States, Europe, Asia and Latin America as well as 500+ Global Business Services (GBS) associates.
EIT Tools and Automation team is looking to hire an Automation Specialist within the Centralized Automation Team, who will report to Test Tools and Automation Executive. This specialist will be primarily responsible for development of Testing Automation and help deliver automation benefits (Reduction in manual touch points, Improved risk framework, Reduced operational risk and Increased efficiency)
Please note: This is not an application/software testing or application/software development role.
Main responsibilities include
• Automate new and existing EIT tests from second- and first-line coverage (includes data analysis, data mapping, business rules creation/coding on Trifacta platform, pilot testing, QA and scheduling to production, etc.)
• Gathering and documenting test requirements pertaining to test script and data required for testing
• Create automation flow/ write recipes in Trifacta (Data Wrangling Platform) and other ETL Tools like Toad SQL and possibly Alteryx, Advanced use of Excel
• Exposure to different data environment: SQL, Oracle, DB2, Teradata, Hive, Hadoop, Data Lake
• Facilitate conversations with both technical and non-technical partners and stakeholders
• Partner with EIT and FLU data teams to perform data mapping and secure data for automation development
• Participate in proof-of-concept projects to expand automation capability and explore new innovative tools (Example – RPA, Bots, Data Scrapping, Data Quality testing etc.)
• Work in collaboration with FLU and GCOR test owners and perform automation assessment
 

Qualifications and experiences:
-Minimum of 5 years work experience
-Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Systems, functional or professional knowledge. Systems knowledge or certifications varies based on job posting. May potentially require one or more of the following: Data projects, SQL Databases, BigData, ETL, Data Warehousing, Reporting, and Analytics, Trifacta, Informatica, Hadoop, Oracle, Teradata / Software Development lifecycle (SDLC) – including waterfall, scrum, agile, Kanban / Software development exposure (Python, Java, Pega, Archer, Cloud, release processes)

Required Skills/ Experience/ Qualifications
• 2+ years’ experience in Financial Services Industry using data analysis, data mining or modeling, for Risk measurement, monitoring or QA purposes (Compliance and Operational Risk Monitoring or Audit preferred)
• Intermediate to expert understanding of SQL query language and syntax
• Experience building data acquisition routines in a tool such as Trifacta, Alteryx, Microstrategy, Tableau, Cognos, Informatica (or other similar business intelligence applications
• Experience building queries to source data from a variety of different types of data sources such as DB2, Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, Hadoop, Hive
• Proficiency in data analysis concepts and transformation
• Advanced Excel skills with an emphasis on data analytics, pivot tables, lookups and external data source connections
• Ability to work with cross functional teams in different time zones
• A pragmatic and flexible attitude towards problem solving, and a consultative working style with an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness
• Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts with non-technical business partners, in order to develop populations and business rules for testing
• Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Business Management, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering or related subjects, Advanced Degree (MS, MBA, PhD) or equivalent work experience preferred
