Business Support Manager II

New York, New York;

Job Description:

Manages diverse business administrative and project management functions for our Global Banking Merchant Services team as well as the NYC Market integration efforts. Functions managed may include: financial control/budgeting and consolidation, personnel processes, audit/compliance, premises, and coordination of certain projects, associate training, service quality, process improvement, business continuity, or communication, and coordination of key projects and efforts to drive employee engagement, operational excellence and organizational effectiveness. Consults with senior management in evaluating current methods and developing strategies to implement changes and improvements. Requires a thorough knowledge of the department or business units functional area or products. Working knowledge of general bank policies, programs and procedures and financial/accounting practices. Performance reporting, ad hoc presentation building, monthly business reviews, financial control and consolidation, process improvement, and communication. Generally has full management responsibility over a relatively large team and may manage one or more levels of managers.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to work in fast paced environment with several competing priorities

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency – ability to create and deliver executive level presentations

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building/managing skills

  • Project management experience

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)

  • Working knowledge of general bank policies, programs and procedures and financial/accounting practices.

  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities

Desired Skills:

  • 5-7 years of experience in a business support, change management, business controls, communications, finance, HR or risk lead position.

  • Staffing governance and management

  • Issue management and procedure review

  • Employee Engagement analysis, planning and execution

  • Experience with managing processes; process design
