Enterprise Architecture & Engineering (EAE) is a growing department within the Global Technology division at Bank of America that is responsible for:

  • Advancing our technology platforms through innovation

  • Delivering the best digital experience for those managing the technology division

  • Driving accessibility of applications for our teammates & customers

  • Improving the experience for our developers, making it easier to deliver industry-leading solutions, while managing work efficiently & with the right controls

  • Reducing risk & improving quality across our technology portfolio by aligning to a single enterprise architecture strategy & delivering governance that enables consistency, integration, & automation

Job Description

With several thousand teams & more than 50,000 engineers, our Agile transformation is one of the largest of its kind.  As part of our team, it will be your responsibility to instill foundational practices within Global Technology groups.

We are looking for a senior development & test technology leader who has significant experience driving major areas of large-scale enterprise technology transformation programs.   The candidate will have demonstrable experience working on sizeable programs employing modern engineering practices – particularly in software development & testing automation.  The candidate will also work at all levels of the organization, from practitioners to technology executives, to foster modern engineering practices.

The successful candidate is a consultant who changes organizations, a strategist who drives long term change, a designer who shapes solutions, a salesperson who grows their contacts & networks, an engineer who solves problems & a teacher for those around them.

Responsibilities:

  • Consult teams on assessing/determining modern tools to prioritize adopting, maturing use with as it aligns with their agility growth & technical needs

  • Perform hands-on coaching/training to teams in modern engineering practices

  • Coach teams on best practices & how to utilize technology to build & deploy software using modern SDLC pipelines

  • Train & onboard practitioners on tools & best practices

  • Advocate/champion capability needs for future technology &/or best practices – be the voice of our customers

  • Be accountable for improvement in team measures of productivity & quality

  • Capture feedback & continuously improve Agile guidance, training materials, & content

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience of using their influence & technical acumen to lead technology leaders & developers alike

  • Experience in transforming organizations from waterfall to Agile

  • Strong software development & testing background

  • 5+ years of experience directly involved with test automation

  • 5+ years of experience directly involved with solutions and/or software architecture

  • Has led development teams & is also very knowledgeable about agile development practices

  • Proven strong technical leadership & team leadership skills

Desired Skills

  • Working knowledge of JIRA

  • Ability to affect change at all levels

  • Firm understanding productivity & quality metrics, how they reflect busines value

  • Capable of striving in a fast pace, ever changing environment
