Partners with SBA BDO and Relationship Managers to develop and recommend industry research and insights for prospect and client meetings. Develops strategies to grow business in the market using portfolio analytics and sales tools. Enables the market to achieve growth targets by developing consistent execution tactics and inspection routines. Acts as a client advisor using insights and recommendations to grow the clients business.  Work efforts must be thorough and focused, exhibiting strong oral and written communication skills. Able to work with minimal supervision on assigned tasks, and is able to connect analytical work to the client needs and strategic objectives.

Key Functions:
Client & Industry Insights
• Counsel SBA BDO and client team on insights that pertain to the client/prospect and/or industry.
• Leverage sales tools (Navigator, PeerProfiler, VerticalIQ, Marketing Toolkit , NADCO, NAGGL, etc.) to develop industry insights for a client or prospect meeting
• Propagate industry knowledge across the market to apply learnings to multiple clients
• Create Peer Profiler Library for the market’s most common industries


Proactive Calling & Pre-Call Planning
• Develop and recommend effective calling strategy for the SBA BDO to support self-sourcing new business (targeted prospects and COI development)

• Develop pre call plan strategy for all client calls in partnership with SSA to garner existing client information
• Develop pre call planning package for each client/prospect/COI using insights that will shape a meaningful conversation
• Leverage pre call planning tools to ensure consistency and execution of calling practices
• Support Executive calling pre call planning

Market Strategy
• Supports the Market Executive and SBA BDO in a market or regional strategy to grow the business.
• Works in concert with the Market Executive and SBA BDOs to build individual business plans and a market plan

• Leverage analytical insights from Tableau and SBA SharePoint site to remove variability and drive RM engagement


• Creates inspection routines that drive activities to growth
• Develops best practices to share across the market and region
• Leverages sales tools (CAT, Navigator, NADCO, etc.) to mine prospecting strategies and opportunities for the market
• Develop COI Strategies to win influence in the market

• Provide marketing support such as documenting SBA Success Stories and more

Required Qualifications:

• Executive Presence both internally to all levels of the firm and externally for client presentations

• Ability to think strategically and build strategic plans for market growth

• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal

• Deep knowledge of sales tools, systems, and processes to support the client and client team

• Deep knowledge of Business Banking and the clients/products

• Ability to structure presentations for client meetings using PowerPoint, Excel and/or Word

• Organize routines for the Client Team that foster client engagement

• Cultivates relationships across the market to collaborate on growth strategies

Additional Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related area preferred

• Knowledge of Small Business Administration Standard Operating Procedure
