
Job Description:
The Cloud Developer-Python is responsible for developing core components of our global private, public and hybrid cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform product design activities
Design and implement new software solutions as part of our cloud enablement strategy, as well as maintain and enhance existing software
Ensure that code adheres to strict standards for accessibility, security, object-oriented practices and performance
Write and conduct unit and integration tests
Effectively function and communicate within a software development team consisting of developers, quality assurance, and project management members
Actively participate in requirements, architecture reviews, and design meetings
Required Skills:
Minimum of 5 years experience in Python
Minimum of 5 years experience in shell/bash • Experience with Flask, RESTful APIs, HTML, CSS, Java Script/JQuery, AngularJS, SQL, IDEs (PyCharm, Eclipse)
Experience in command line interfaces (CLI), third party APIs and integration
Experience with webservers like Apache Tomcat
Good knowledge of Linux internals
Experience with OpenShift and virtualization technologies
Experience building CI/CD pipeline, strong knowledge of tools like Git, Jenkins, Ansible
Experience creating and maintaining complex automations
Proficiency in system, network, security and database design, operations, protocols and industry standard technologies
Good experience in developing secure technologies, knowledge in ACLs and roles based entitlements
Experience with IT services like DNS, Active Directory, Kerberos, SMTP
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team with direct responsibilities
Ability to juggle competing priorities and adapt to changes in project scope
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with teammate
Effective verbal and written communications
Desired Skills:
Microsoft Azure, IaaS, PaaS, storage and compute solutions
OpenShift/Kubernettes virtualization and Public Cloud frameworks
AWS, GCP cloud experience
Migrating solutions to Public Cloud
Oracle PL/SQL, transactional processing
Red Hat Enterprise Linux server administration
Engineering for scale, creating solutions in very large environments
Experience with Java, Go
Familiarity with Agile development methodology, SCRUM, DevOp
