Information Defense Senior Manager - Cyber Security Defense

The Cyber Security Defense (CSD) function within Global Information Security is responsible for all aspects of threat intelligence and monitoring, application and network security, and insider threat. In addition, the CSD team drives out the enterprise-wide cyber exercise program.

The Information Defense team manages a portfolio of controls to protect information from cyber threats. The team focuses on responding to security alerts, operation and governance of controls, and continual improvement to the control technology and process.  The Control enHancement, Automation & Intelligence (CHAI) team manager will lead a team of automation engineers and business analysts who focus on automation, orchestration, and analysis of control data to improve the effectiveness of the control processes. Job function will include critical thinking and analysis of difficult problems to identify viable solutions.  Must collaborate across multiple control areas and technical teams to implement solutions.  

  • The ideal candidate should be able to:
  • Translate operational requirements into working technology solutions
  • Engineer solutions and report outcomes
  • Improve the controls in an agile team environment

 
The role requires someone who is proactive, creative, and intellectually curious about the threat environment and associated security controls. While the position is management focused, the ideal candidate would also be able to contribute to development and analytical discussion. Candidate must be willing to enroll in Associate Investment Monitoring due to the nature of the role and access.  Key responsibilities include:

  • Be able to lead a team with a wide range of abilities
  • Actively participate in team discussions and knowledge-sharing
  • Work with control teams to identify automation opportunities
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and possible solutions
  • Assist in requirements gathering 
  • Develop solutions to identified problems
  • Identify and escalate risk

 
Desired Skills:

  • Experience leading a team
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and deliver results on committed timelines
  • Excellent time management, customer service and prioritization skills
  • Strong understanding of Cyber Security / Data Loss Prevention/ Information Security best practices
  • Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal format with the ability to present automation and program topics to a broad audience
  • Python development experience 
  • SQL or other SQL like languages (Hive, Impala)
  • Database background/ understanding
  • Experience with Agile development cycle

 
Preferred Skills:

  • Regex writing- create rules 
  • Splunk experience
  • Tableau experience 
  • Certifications - Security+, Network+, CEH, CISSP, CCNA, CCNP other cyber security related certifications
  • Bachelors Degree in security or technical related field

Colorado pay and benefits information

Colorado pay range:

$142,800 - $197,800 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible
