SAM Strategy & Business Development Associate

Job Description:

The Business Enablement & Strategy team plays a critical role in developing and implementing business strategy by managing tactical and strategic initiatives. In working with internal and external partners, from project creation through analysis and onto completion, this team provides support and subject matter expertise that spans across a multitude of SAM and Bank lines of business. The team operates in a fast-paced environment with a focus on process design and the utilization of strong communication skills. 

Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining subject matter expertise for platform and business functionality, maintaining thorough knowledge of systems and operational processes, evaluating and addressing-to-resolution service delivery issues identified by business partners (including Program Owners, Business Channel leaders, SMEs, Technology, Operations, Client Services, Legal, Compliance Risk, and external suppliers/vendors), and evaluating opportunities for new process design or current process enhancement. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4 year college degree (business management, accounting, or finance, or combination of both)
  • 5+ years' experience in fast paced environment
  • Must be able to adjust and work effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of management
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications – Excel, Powerpoint, Word
  • Interest in real assets (real estate, timber, farm)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership through prior management, project management, prioritization of group work load, and/or display of high-level organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with the ability to consult, build relationships, and/or indirectly influence and lead cross functional teams
  • Experience with Process design
  • Analytical, problem solver
  • Self-starter​
