Senior Experience Designer

Bank of America’s Experience Design team includes researchers, strategic designers, design program managers, content strategists, design technologists, and experience designers. The team is constantly iterating, solving problems, and working together to find ways all our digital platforms can empower customers to reach their financial goals in more customized, intuitive, innovative, engaging, secure and time-saving techniques.

We are seeking a Senior Experience Designer to work on our “New Product Experience” team, creating thoughtful user-centered experiences for our native and responsive platforms.

What does the our team work on?


When new and existing clients seek new banking products, we work to understand their goals and desires to design digital experiences that support them through product discovery, acquisition, and on-boarding. We are committed to simplifying the complex, ensuring a consistent new product experience, and exceeding client expectations. Through partnership with Business, Product, and Technology we work to build trust with our clients and earn their loyalty, resulting in increased revenue for the enterprise.

As a Senior Experience Designer you will:

Collaborate with researchers, technologists, designers and delivery managers to concept, design and launch best-in-class user experiences   
Support research and testing across the customer journey, from concept testing to usability studies. 
Evaluate and benchmark existing product and service experiences 
Develop experience design deliverables across the design workflow, including: design plans, concept explorations, information architectures, user flows, wireframes, high fidelity designs, prototypes. 
Communicate concepts, workshop results, and help define product features and ideas. 
Bring concepts to life through storytelling and visual stimuli 
Work on multiple designs/projects, managing time and expectations with stakeholders across the organization 
Respect standards and champion best practices while also helping us set visions for innovative, best-in-class user experiences. 
Champion both strategic thinking and tactical delivery; you’ll advocate for ideal “blue sky” experiences while also helping shape the plan to get us there.

You’re a person who has (required skills):

  • 5+ years of design experience with a portfolio of designs that you’re proud of 
  • While financial services experience is helpful, our designers have come from diverse backgrounds and industries 
  • Experienced with user-centered design methodologies and rapid ideation processes like Lean UX, Design Sprints, and Agile 
  • Expert in designing for responsive web and mobile apps 
  • Expert in multi-channel industry standards and best practices 
  • Expert with InVision and Sketch 
  • Potential future travel up to 20% of time

And you are a person who:

  • Is an enthusiastic, highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and an intense focus on achieving results. 
  • Collaborates effectively to get things done, building and nurturing strong relationships 
  • Is exceptional at problem-solving, issue resolution, and time management 
  • Demonstrates strong listening, communication, and presentation skills 
  • Is a continuous learner who adapts quickly and positively to change
     

You’ll be better prepared if you have (desired skills):

  • Master’s degree in design or Bachelors with compensating experience. 
  • Financial industry, digital agency, or similar experience preferred. 
  • Experience as lead or senior designer. 
  • Project management experience.
