Settlement Officer I - Estate

Job Description:

​Description:
Accountable for supporting estate administrators and providing significant assistance in the administration of probate estates and deceased grantor trusts. Responsible for assisting with coordinating information with external partners (Attorneys and CPAs), and internal support partners (Tax, Compliance, Real Estate, BITS, etc.) to ensure accurate, timely and efficient administration, and to manage risk.

Will manage a small book of accounts and handle the administration of both PACE and Merrill Lynch estates and trusts. Will have a dual workstation with the separate systems and platforms. Frequent contact with Financial Advisors, TOs, clients, and COIs.

Qualifications/Desired Skills:    Bachelor's degree preferred. Background in Trusts and Estates, such as paralegal, probate law clerk or law associate, preferred. Ability to proactively research, organize and prioritize multiple estate and trust administration projects. Highly skilled in learning new systems and procedures quickly and retaining information across several platforms within a corporate environment.
