Job Description:
The successful candidate will lead critical operational excellence process and automation changes to simplify and streamline the Monitoring function within the Software License Monitoring and Compliance (SLiC) organization. The primary goal of the SLiC team is to mature the Bank’s processes and tools to ensure software license compliance to contractual requirements and the team is focused on identifying, escalating, monitoring, and preventing commercial software risk.
Responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:
- Be a change agent for moving the Monitoring function forward
- Partner with Monitoring operations manager to identify issues, gaps, improvement opportunities around monitoring activities and processes (includes additional reporting needs or platform/tool updates)
- Drive focus on simplification and automation of manual processes and manual data entry as well as focus on first time data quality
- Identify and lead major initiatives to drive capacity gains for software analysts
- Build strong partnerships with SLiC function leads (Intake/Onboarding, Remediation, Platform and Reporting) as well as external partners
- Lead planning, requirements, design and implementation discussions for identified gaps or issues
- Ensure solutions are aligned with other initiatives across internal and external functions (e.g. Global Procurement, Enterprise Architecture, CIO tech teams, etc.)
- Ensure communication and training plans are included in execution plans as solutions are implemented
- Partner with Monitoring operations manager to update procedures as process and automation changes occur
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Process design & re-engineering competencies to drive process efficiencies, simplification and automation
- Strong communication skills (including verbal, written, presentation and active listening) and ability to establish partnerships with external stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze, interpret, and match data from multiple data sources
- Strong in leading and developing project plans
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple responsibilities
- Ability to facilitate meetings
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Attention to detail and delivery of a high quality work product
- Ability to work well in a team environment and independently
- Able to work in fast-paced, multi-priority environment
- Ability to adjust and react with optimism and professionalism-solution oriented.
- Proficient with Visio, Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint
Desired Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of Software Asset Management or contract compliance
- Knowledge of Procurement software contracts negotiation, software sourcing and/or software procurement including purchase orders
- Knowledge of software compliance tools, specifically Flexera, BMC Discovery, Microsoft CB
- Ability to read software contacts and identify relevant terms and conditions as they relate to the software license compliance.
- Bachelors degree with 3-5 years experience in a business analyst or technical role
- Masters degree with 2-3 years experience in a business analyst or technical role
