Business Control Manager GBAM AML Refresh

Job Description:

Assist in the execution of internal control discipline and operational excellence within a LOB or ECF. Execute LOB/ECF specific processes and tools to drive adherence to enterprise-wide Standards. Support the implementation of QA/QC processes within the LOB/ECF through ongoing monitoring and testing of controls. Identify issues and/or control improvements for remediation, whilst assisting in building out actions plans and milestones. Acts as an ambassador of the risk culture. Develop and direct staff. Incumbents typically have over 8+ years of risk management and LOB/ECF experience.

Job Profile Summary
Assist in the execution of internal control discipline and operational excellence within a LOB or ECF. Execute LOB/ECF specific processes and tools to drive adherence to enterprise-wide Standards. Support the implementation of QA/QC processes within the LOB/ECF through ongoing monitoring and testing of controls. Identify issues and/or control improvements for remediation, whilst assisting in building out actions plans and milestones. Acts as an ambassador of the risk culture. Develop and direct staff. Incumbents typically have over 8+ years of risk management and LOB/ECF experience.

The role will be working directly for the global Head of Enhance Client Controls within GBAM AML

Timely adherence to audit requirements and regulatory deliverables

Development oversight and delivery of metrics to myself and the senior leadership teams 

Development and oversight of inline QA across function including the R&R across the immediate and wider team

City and country oversight for the ECC teams ensuring we have the right teams performing at the right level in the right places 

Development of capacity planning model across the teams 

Monthly oversight pack completion for ECC exec team 

Working with partner teams to ensure timely inclusion and adherence to integrating new process, new rules and central point to the change governance requirement. 

Integrated reporting framework for remediation on failed records.

Core Skills Expectation:

    • Experienced in one of the following, AML policy and standards, operational risk / ops excellence will also consider candidates with legal background.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence; must be able to appropriately convey ideas, concerns and opinions across differing levels of organization and build relationships.
    • Demonstrate strong risk orientation; challenge status quo and is passionate to drive change.
    • Proactive and self-motivated, able to manage competing priorities; make timely and fact based decisions.
    • Highly organized and demonstrate a bias for action and a commitment to achieving sustainable results.
    • Is intellectually curious; constantly seeks to learn and advance his/her knowledge
    • Results driven with attention to detail
    • Strong teamwork skills in a global and regional setting.
