Business Support Manager

Job Description:

Manages diverse administrative functions usually for a very large, complex department or business unit. Functions managed may include: financial control/budgeting and consolidation, personnel processes, audit/compliance, premises, and coordination of certain projects, associate training, service quality, process improvement, business continuity, or communication. May consult with senior management to define and manage projects that encompass and impact many associates. Requires a thorough knowledge of the department or business unit's functional area or products. Working knowledge of general bank policies, programs and procedures and financial/accounting practices. May have full management responsibility over a team or may manage one level of managers.

Role description:

This business support manager is responsible for supporting executive and management routines, stakeholder and key partner management, project management for cross functional and horizontal projects, and key business support processes.

  • Partners with Chief Operating Officer to define strategy, planning, logistics management, and execution of Market Leader and Employee Network sponsored routines

  • Assists in the coordination and execution of management routines for Operations Management, Resiliency, and Client Programs

  • Assists in the planning and coordination of executive site visits and event planning (virtual and in-person)

  • Direct management and / or support for market level and employee network sponsored initiatives

  • Assist in the creation and management of core communications for Market and Employee Networks (on behalf of Exec Sponsor)

  • Identify, develop and support tactics to engage and influence stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes and/or deliverables

  • Take lead on special assignments and/or support existing bodies of work

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of Business Support experience including planning. communication, integration and execution

  • Strong communications skills (verbal/written) based on required interaction with senior level executive team

  • Strength in attention to detail but in context with broader business landscape

  • Proven ability to by influence – using data driven approach

  • Advanced PowerPoint skills to create materials that are easily understood by non-subject matter experts

  • Critical thinking skills to assess data, artifacts and new or unfamiliar business concepts to draw conclusions that are not readily apparent

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines with excellent organizational and planning skills

Desired Skills:

  • Advanced Proficiency with MS Office Applications and SharePoint Designer

  • Articulate communicator who can interact at all levels of the organization and lead strategic planning working sessions

  • Project management experience including planning. communication, integration and execution

  • Strength in attention to detail but in context with broader business landscape

  • Proven ability to by influence – using data driven approach

  • Strong PowerPoint skills to create materials that are easily understood by non-subject matter experts
