
Job Description:
Bank of America's Retail Finance Group ("RFG") is seeking a Credit Products Manager ("CPM"), responsible for leading RFG’s new deal underwriting function and managing a team of underwriters. RFG, part of Bank of America Business Capital, provides asset based lending solutions to middle market and large corporate clients in the retail industry for re-capitalization, growth situations, mergers and acquisitions, turn-around situations, DIPs, etc. ranging from $20 million to over $4 billion in size and are collateralized primarily by accounts receivable and inventory (but also trade name advances and real-estate).
The CPM is an experienced credit professional capable of independent activity on complex and sensitive credit transactions. CPM works in a team setting with corporate and investment banking partners, business development officers, relationship managers and/or product specialists. Review / evaluate new financing opportunities. Prepare / review materials and participate in client pitches. Responsible for overseeing / guiding junior Underwriters to develop, structure, analyze, covenant, document, fund and close ABL transactions. Both CPM and underwriters interface directly with clients and prospects, financial sponsors and/or financial intermediaries (including outside accountants, legal counsel, appraisers, field examiners, participant banks etc.). Full understanding of Bank of America and BABC/RFG credit policies is required to identify and resolve issues during the underwriting, documentation and closing processes.
