Role Description:

  • Software development, testing, deployment, and support of Pre-Trade pricing, risk & pl platforms used by the GFF (Repo) business
  • Function as part of a high-performance team, working on critical business priorities relating to expansion of technology capabilities for the GFF business as needed
  • Communicate effectively with various stakeholders across Technology and Trading, Compliance, Supervision, Risk, Operations, and other support partners.

The Team:

Currently we are a team of 15 developers spanning New York, London and India. We have a very diverse and fun team of people who strive to help each other out at every turn and work towards making the technology experience seamless for the GFF trading desk globally.

Core Skills:

  • Understanding of Interest Rates Derivative products (Bonds, Swaps, Futures, Repos) with respect to Position/Risk management and P&L attribution
  • Development experience on Python with additional experience on any other OO technology (e.g., Java, C#)
  • Excellent communicator who runs well in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong understanding of fundamental engineering concepts like memory allocation/management, CPU cycles, networking etc.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders including senior managers, internal and external service providers and development teams.
  • Proven ability to succeed in an international team spanning multiple countries, cultures and time zones.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to multi-task, prioritize, and operate in a high-pressure front-office trading environment.
  • Ability to express ideas and thoughts in a concise manner when speaking or writing.
  • Experience working with technology platforms Windows, Linux, JIRA.

Nice to have

  • Experience of Agile methods
  • End-to-end Software Development Life Cycle experience from inception to delivery as the key responsible developer
  • UI Development using Angular/React JS
  • Experience of integrated Front Office Development environments (examples include, but are not limited to, Sec DB, Athena, and Quartz.)
