Consumer Product Strategic Analyst II

Job Description:

Responsible for performing complex analysis and modeling. Utilizes a variety of systems including, but not limited to Excel, Access, Visual Basic, SAS, and InfoQuest at an intermediary level. Provides analytical support on various strategies to ensure company goals are met. Coordinates the production of performance reports and updates for senior management. May utilize established databases to provide statistical and financial modeling. Analyzes portfolio trends, concerning risk, loss trends, marketing performance, portfolio dynamics, and bureau scoring criteria. Will participate in the rollout of company-wide pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models. Duties primarily include the regular use of discretion and independent judgment. 2-5 years’ experience preferred.

▪  Creates and maintains reporting via various methods, primarily SAS / MicroStrategy / Tableau / Excel / SRRS, utilizing core Consumer Lending data resources to enable and support Consumer Lending Underwriting and Fulfillment processes primarily focused on Consumer Vehicle Lending with cross over into other products.  

▪  Works with report requestors to understand business objectives and reporting needs in order to design and create meaningful design elements, technical solutions and reporting within existing system infrastructure.

▪  Know the business and understand, anticipate and drive reporting evolution; assist in strengthening the position of the business through identification and reporting of a robust suite of metrics. 

▪  Design and create reporting solutions around key operational metrics and proactive identification of potential issues or concerns.  

▪  Ensure timely delivery and maintain performance standards. 

▪  Effectively develop and maintain strong relationships with partners and peers.

▪  Collaborate with team members to share expertise and develop best practices.

▪  Ensure reporting is built with an eye towards efficiency while maintaining standards and remaining within bank guardrails.

Required Skills:

▪  Three years’ experience with SAS or SQL programming or writing. 

▪  Report delivery experience with Excel / MicroStrategy / Tableau / SRRS / SAS.

▪  Three years’ experience with data analysis.

▪  Strong communication skills in both verbal and written form.

▪  Proficient with Microsoft Office tools

▪  Experience with source control

▪  Self-starter with strong time management skills

▪  Ability to effectively develop and maintain strong relationships with partners, peers and team members.

▪  Business Analyst / System Analyst / Technical documentation experience including Business Requirement Documents, High Level Design documents and Low-Level Design documents.

▪  Familiarity with Waterfall SDLC life cycle and Lean Agile principles.

Desired Skills:

▪  Consumer Lending Background

▪  Familiarity with RDMS platforms including Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata and Hadoop preferred

   Degree in Business Information systems, computer science, mathematics or related discipline preferred
