Operations Consultant

Job Description & Responsibilities:

Manages medium-large projects for an operations segment, product line or function. Manages the research of existing operations, procedures, workflow, product and service requirements. Directs the analysis of assembled data to define problems associated with project scope. Involved in a variety of projects and responsible for building business/client relationships. Develops and implements new processes to improve operating efficiency and to ensure timeliness and accuracy of workflow. Works closely with stakeholder on project impact and direction. Requires in-depth knowledge of the bank and overall operations environment. Analyzes and resolves non-routine and/or moderately complex operational problems often requiring research and involvement from other business functional experts. Requires thorough operations knowledge of specific products/ services line managed, usually gained through operations experience. Bachelor's degree or comparable work experience preferred with 3-5 years supervisory experience.​

Required:

  • Must have 2 or more year of experience with OCR and Machine learning technologies

  • Able to build effective relationships with partners, vendors & internal/support teams

  • Self-Starter with strong communication. Ability to communicate with different audiences

  • Strong project management skills and detail oriented

  • Strong project deliverables focus.

  • Ability to learn and adapt to change in multi-task environment

  • Able to create executive presentations

  • Must be able to work independently and is not afraid to make a decision and act on it.

  • Demonstrates commitment to excellence by anticipating needs, identifying and mitigating risks and minimizing potential problems

  • Analytical & complex problem solving skills,  ability to lead “horizontally" and self-motivated;

  • Escalate issues that are not being resolved on a timely manner

Desired:

  • Has worked on Instabase or Captiva tools

  • Has implemented automation solution with natural language processing (NLP) and optical character recognition (OCR)

  • Has worked on unstructured document classification/data extraction business processes.

  • Has performed annotation function of OCR/Machine learning platforms

  • Has strong knowledge of documents used in underwriting financial loans (Ex: Home loans, Default Servicing etc.)

  • Bachelor's degree or comparable work experience preferred with 3-5 years supervisory experience.​
