EIT is a centralized group within Global Risk Management responsible for independent testing of operational processes within the eight lines of business and enterprise control functions at Bank of America to ensure the company is in compliance with domestic and international laws, rules and regulations, and that risk and controls procedures are operating effectively.
The APAC EIT team is part of the Global Surveillance Testing team within EIT, based in a number of locations in Japan, Hong Kong, India, Korea and China, focusing on market misconduct in Fixed Income, Currencies, Commodities, Equities and Corporate Treasury. The Global Surveillance Testing team consists of approx. 180 surveillance associates dispersed over a number of countries.
The Testing Specialist may direct entry-level testers, test leaders or directly manage a specialty function. This role is accountable for accurate and timely test execution and/or supports operational and administrative initiative activities related to a Testing Functional area including multiple stakeholders. This role interacts extensively with internal or external contacts to identify, research, analyze and resolve complex problems.
Daily responsibilities of the Testing Specialist II include execution of test scripts, identifying and documenting defects and providing daily updates to test leads and managers as needed. This role works closely with Risk, Compliance, and SMEs to conduct testing.
The Testing Specialist II has intermediate knowledge of test execution and system(s) of record required, and translates business strategy into work programs and processes. This role may contribute and/or participate in multiple special projects.
This role is responsible for execution of trade surveillance tests aligned to the Global Banking and Markets division, testing trading activity against Market Misconduct behaviours. Trade surveillance testing underpins one of the requirements of the Compliance and Operational Risk Management Framework and is key in the management and mitigation of Market Misconduct Risk. Daily interaction occurs with senior Compliance and Business Supervision management.
