Compliance, Internal Control and Risk - Delivery Lead - Technology - Charlotte, NC / Jersey City, NJ

Job Description:

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivery of defined deliverables which usually requires engagement from multiple teams such as a project or smaller program. Communicates the work objectives, coordinates delivery, manages risks, ensures compliance to standards, and provides end-to-end visibility into the health of the deliverables. Ensures execution and delivery meets the client’s expectations in terms of the functionality, quality, timeline and cost. Coordinates and facilitates routines to support delivery – e.g. kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, tollgates, etc. Plans and coordinates delivery and dependencies with across multiple teams. Facilitates dependency management/risk management/impediment removal for the defined deliverables. Promotes/facilitates communication and collaboration across organizations to support the deliverable completion and timeline. Gathers/facilitates status updates for the deliverables to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to delivery, risks/issues, and schedule. Ensures that execution is aligned with deliverable requirements by working with the sponsor/stakeholders. Ensures deliverables comply with Enterprise Change Management standards. Supports resource planning for delivery/execution. Individual Contributor.

Overview:

Enterprise Role Description Provide analytical support in executing internal control discipline and operational excellence within a LOB/ECF. Gather and organize data in order to monitor and test the effectiveness of key controls and status of mitigation and action plans. Prepare documentation for the tracking, monitoring, and escalation of risk related issues to management. Acts as an ambassador of the risk culture. Incumbents typically have over 5+ years of risk management and/or LOB/ECF experience. May manage staff. Position description: This position is for a Risk Consultant who will be a member of the Risk Mitigation Team that supports Global Wholesale Credit and Banking Technology team. The role supports various firm-wide risk and information security initiatives from any number of sources including Global Information Security, Risk and Compliance, and Audit. The ideal candidate will operate as an individual contributor who is part of a team that manages these initiatives from end-to-end. The goal is to manage and reduce the risk exposure of WCBT by ensuring that all applications remain compliant with the various programs, both BAU and ad hoc. The role has direct and matrixed execution responsibility across all technology organizations as well as and interface to various LOBs where required for delivering the programs/projects. Must be able to meet demands associated with managing multiple projects in a global environment. Responsibilities also include creating, executing and updating project plans and project timelines and tracking to meet project requirements. Will involve maintaining project dashboards, preparing project status reports and tracking project time and metrics.

Required skills:

  • 7-10 Years Technology experience
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving, and conceptual thinking
  • Experience leading and managing technology teams in the delivery of business outcomes
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Manages multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to work self-directed and independently as well as part of a team
  • Partner with Program and Project Managers and SMEs to translate requirements into executable actions for the technology teams
  • Strong ability to interact, communicate, and influence vertically and horizontally
  • Proven ability to think strategically
  • Ability to anticipate risks and successfully develop and drive mitigation plans
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be comfortable in delivering messages across a wide spectrum of individuals having varying degrees of technical understanding
  • Ability to navigate in complex and changing environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio)
  • Should understand Infrastructure, Device Security, and Network security concepts as many projects are technical in nature

 Desired skills:

  • Ability to create and present meaningful project metrics tailored to different audiences
  • Ability to work with Technical and Non-Technical business owners
  • Ability to assess and improve internal processes for increased efficiency
  • Experience in Bank of America Risk Management practices a plus
  • Experience in delivery Bank of America Infrastructure projects a plus

Jersey City pay range:

$58,200 - $144,300 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
