Specialty Asset Manager II

Job Description:

Manages client ownership interests in privately held companies that span across various industries, sectors and business types.  These interests are held by Bank of America/Merrill Lynch clients, and management responsibilities encompass all fiduciary aspects that are associated with private businesses.  The associate will be exposed to financial statement analysis, investment valuation methodologies, certain trust and estate fiduciary matters, corporate organizational documents, as well as all aspects of corporate governance. 

The associate will be responsible for approximately 80–100 ownership interests which can vary significantly in value and complexity.  At least annually, the associate must complete an asset review for each assigned interest.  Reviews will include an updated value using generally accepted valuation methods, such as the income, market or asset-based approach, as well as an asset rating.  Frequent contact with portfolio managers, trust officers, tax and legal experts, wealth strategists, as well as clients is required as corporate actions and other situations arise. 

Qualifications/Desired Skills:

  • BA/BA/BBS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in investment analysis or related.
  • MBA, ASA and/or 1+ years of experience in a fiduciary environment a plus.

Connecticut pay and benefits information

Connecticut pay range:

$80,000 - $135,000 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
