Senior Financial Analyst - Regulatory Reporting

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Group is responsible for the overall financial management of our company. This includes accounting, financial and regulatory reporting, balance sheet management, financial planning and analysis, treasury, investor relations, corporate investments and tax.

Global Financial Control (GFC) is responsible for managing and executing consolidated financial and legal entity reporting; interpreting and applying accounting policy and standards; overseeing financial controls and operational risk assessments; managing and maintaining financial data and systems; managing general ledger and sub‐ledger accounting; and supporting tax activities.  In short, our focus in GFC is to get the numbers right and to work in support of the company’s goals, most importantly responsible growth.

Centralized Regulatory Reporting (CRR) is responsible for preparation, review, and submission of U.S. financial regulatory reports for the bank, broker-dealer, and certain non-bank subsidiaries and works closely with business and finance partners across the organization to gather, analyze and prepare required regulatory reports.

This Regulatory Reporting Senior Financial Analyst position will be responsible for regulatory report production, review, and analysis. Additionally this role will need to provide ad hoc support and subject matter expertise for projects, audits, governance routines, and other activities across CRR.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and analyze data reported on the FR Y-14M and FR Y-14Q.
  • Execute key reporting and process controls, including period-over-period trends, variance analysis, and cross report reconciliations.
  • Validate conformance with regulatory reporting instructions through a deep understanding of requirements and effective challenge of results.
  • Drive identification, remediation, monitoring and escalation of issues impacting regulatory reporting.
  • Establish working relationships with data owners across multiple lines of business to support complete and timely data submissions.
  • Provide support and subject matter expertise for data quality improvement and sourcing automation projects by communicating reporting requirements, performing UAT testing, and other activities as needed.
  • The candidate must demonstrate initiative, a commitment to continuous learning, and the ability to adapt to changing demands and requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Regulatory Reporting
  • Degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory reporting instructions
  • Analytical, critical thinking and problem solving capabilities
  • Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge
  • Able to effectively manage multiple priorities while working both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
