·         Presentable, confident and client focused. Client facing experience or ability to conduct discussions with Clients in a confident manner.  
·         Excellent communications skills and ability to present to an audience.  
·         Ability to work under pressure in a team environment.  
·         Ability to liaise with all levels of the firm and people with different experiences and backgrounds.
·         Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised. Candidate will be able to manage own time and know when to escalate.  
·         Previous experience within a client service team with particular focus on DMA and OTC settlement.  
·         Knowledge of Operational Risk, Client Money Protection and Funding
·         Strong leadership potential
·         Exceptional understanding of the Malaysia regulatory environment as it relates to banking and Markets products  
·         Proven leadership ability in a supervisory role, able to develop staff and teams to operate at a high level

What you can expect

Role is to perform transactional and settlement functions for Fixed Income, FX and Money Markets asset transfer, settlements, risk, and control for the Global Markets Operations team at Bank of America Malaysia Berhad.  Candidate must also be on hand to offer premium Client Service and deal with all stakeholder queries and manage the relationships between our external and internal stakeholders. Up to date market knowledge on key initiatives and developments within the clearing and settlement space as well as regulatory understanding are essential. Directly interacting with Clients on a daily basis and will act as Client advocate within BofA to ensure all clients’ needs are met  and delivering operational excellence.
 

What you will do

• Process settlement of Global Markets Settlements via BofA's back office system.

• Process of Global Markets transactions functions throughout the settlement day and to highlight issues as they arise.

• Follow up and escalate on failing or unmatched trades

• Facilitate settlement of multiple Global Markets products

• Reconciliation processes

• Liaise with traders, confirmation team, internal and external clients.

• Source and request SSI and static setup for counterparties and instruments.

• Professional and detailed communication with clients via email and phone to resolve differences in a timely matter.

• Investigate and resolve nostro and cash breaks where ledgers are unmatched

• Completing daily reporting

• Reconcile and payment of Stock Lending exposure / collateral to external brokers

• Uphold controls and procedures for the team.
