Wealth Management Client Care - Change and Risk Assessment Lead

Job Description:

The Wealth Management Client Care (WMCC) Change and Risk Assessment Lead (role) will support a portfolio of risk functions including direct Change initiatives, Regulatory change directives and indirect change initiatives sponsored by other business teams (outside WMCC). The representative will demonstrate and apply expertise in conjunction with risk acumen to promote a culture of identification, escalation and timely mitigation of compliance and operational risks.

The representative will be responsible for engaging with business, technology, and control partners to analyze, implement, and update processes by utilizing sound process improvement practices and techniques. The representative will be expected to analyze current state processes, document use cases, determine high level business requirements, and conduct the gathering of detailed business requirements. In this role, the Change and Risk Assessment lead works to ensure material and non-material change implemented into production aligns to enterprise Change Management (ECM) Change standards. The representative is expected to handle stakeholder management, drive operational efficiencies, and manage risk and controls in addition to delivering Operational and Compliance risk acumen through training and communication programs.

This representative will be responsible for supporting the UCRA Program across the WMCC organization by establishing standard adherence through the identification, measurement, monitoring, and mitigation plan development. This role will be expected to act as a UCRA assessor and partner with product/process leads to identify potential Risks / Metrics and apply consistent control strategy across the WMCC organization. They will work closely across the organization to ensure that changes are appropriately documented, risks are assessed, and metrics are developed and monitored to ensure adherence to UCRA Standard and Policy.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Write, facilitate, and own UCRA submissions for WMCC

  • Support key business risk management activities to support Front Line Unit (FLU) for compliance with the Global Change Policy and Standards

  • Effectively communicate quality and monitoring data to UCRA assessors and leadership

  • Develop and establish Operational and Compliance Risk acumen training and culture

  • Confer with SMEs to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and capabilities

  • Partner with Academy and Readiness teams to support the tracking and communication of risk related training initiatives

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in two or more of the following roles: business controls, process improvement, risk management, change management, regulatory change and/or business transformation

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong time management skills

  • Ability to identify training opportunities and provide recommendations

  • Proven facilitation and meeting management skills; ability to lead cross-functional workgroups & lead initiatives

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills at the executive level (written and verbal)

  • Detail oriented with ability to interpret data and compile it into value-added information for leaders

  • Ability to bring multiple stakeholders together, directly address issues to reach consensus & decisions, and demonstrate personal courage

  • Ability to quickly develop subject matter expertise across a broad spectrum of issues

  • Self-starter able to work independently and prioritize effectively, with minimal oversight and guidance

Desired Skills:

  • Working familiarity with regulatory, audit, and/or compliance disciplines

  • Previous UCRA+Tool experience  

  • Highly organized and ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment

  • Operations, capacity planning, business support, business continuity, process control, quality, reporting and/or metrics experience a plus

  • Prior experience with procedure development
