Role Description:

The Stock Loan Operations Support role focusses on asset optimisation, operating to tight intraday deadlines, producing complex collateral projections, and interacting directly with Tri-party agents and the trading desk throughout the business day. The successful individual will learn different aspects of the stock loan and funding business such as trade flows, inventory management, asset optimisation, corporate actions, settlements, and account management. Each associate is responsible for inventory optimisation and asset optimisation and will be supported with a comprehensive training plan to gain a detailed understanding of each business line and associated operational processes. Individuals will be required to respond to queries in a timely and detailed manner, ensuring any operational risks are minimised, whilst consistently looking to identify efficiencies in processes. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the Stock Lending and Equity Funding businesses with the role being in close partnership with the trading desk.

  • Asset optimisation- ensuring maximum asset usage across multiple product lines

  • Inventory management- ensuring settlement of stock loan and collateral trades

  • Collateral projections - lender requirements across asset types

  • Monitoring and process of deal amends in support of trading desks.

  • Monitoring and processing of internal queries from multiple support teams in regard to collateral activity.

  • Daily monitoring of market risks and proprietary trading priorities, with regular communication and escalation of any risks to both operations’ management and desk partners.

  • Manage and maintain relationships with external Triparty providers, internal peer groups and market participants

  • Working as part o f a team providing support to colleagues and ensure that the department maintains optimum performance and delivery of objectives.

The GMF&F Operations team offer support to the Equity Financing, Stock Loan and Prime Brokerage trading desks, providing an excellent opportunity to learn about the different, but inter-connected business streams.
