Risk Analysis Manager (Global Banking US/Canada, Industry, Climate and Regulatory Risk)

Job Description:

The Global Banking US/CAN, Industry, Climate and Regulatory team develops, executes and enhances a suite of reports that allows our risk and business partners to effectively identify and manage credit risk. This reporting ensures the bank can deliver responsible growth within our risk framework. The team is focused on automation and uses BI tools such as Tableau, MicroStrategy and procedural SQL to efficiently deliver timely and accurate information. The Risk Analysis Manager is a senior team member who will manage the team’s relationship with reporting stakeholders such as Enterprise Risk Senior Executives and their direct reports.

In addition to regular reporting the Risk Analysis Manager is expected to respond to complex ad-hoc requests for information from both regulators and business users. They will ask pertinent, clarifying questions, identify the relevant data needed to satisfy the request and present the information to the requester in a clear and concise manner. They should be capable of working with a high degree of autonomy.

We follow best practice for reporting and data management and the Risk Analysis Manager should set a high standard for other team associates to follow in terms of reporting governance and controls. This role is primarily based in Charlotte, NC and part of a team of 13 associates.

Required/Desired:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of relevant experience in a reporting role, ideally within credit risk
• Experienced using SQL and relational databases, in particular extracting data with complex queries
• Proficient using one or more of Tableau, MicroStrategy, and Oracle Exadata 
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, data analysis and data connections
• Experience building compelling dashboards and reports for executive reporting
• Advanced analytical skills that demonstrate ability to learn how to navigate systems, access data, reconcile numbers from different sources, identify discrepancies and understand drivers of change within data
• Capacity to quickly assimilate complex information and provide analysis tailored to suit the audience
• Exceptional attention to detail to both content and presentation of information, and avoids complacently with routine processes
• Familiar with data management and governance such as BCBS 239 or SOX controls
• Ability to work and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical business teams 
• Displays intellectual curiosity to challenge the status quo and tackle challenging problems

Desired Skills and Experience:
• Knowledge of Bank of America systems – CRP, risk aggregation systems 
• Experience working with an Agile development process and collaborating with technology partners

Connecticut pay and benefits information

Connecticut pay range:

$105,000 - $165,000 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
