
Job Description:
The Sr AB (Asset-Based) Credit Officer manages a portfolio of asset-based structured loans in the retail industry. The Sr AB Credit Officer is responsible for actively monitoring financial and collateral trends and recommending appropriate action. Responsibilities also include reviewing requests for loan modifications, analyzing financial performance, negotiating terms, drafting proposals, reviewing documents, and preparing recommendations for approval. Must be good at multi-tasking in order to meet the time deadlines of both the client and the bank. The Sr AB Credit Officer is an active member of the client team and interfaces directly with the client and participates in building the client relationship. Generally capable of handling the most sensitive accounts. Travel required to meet with clients. Works closely with manager.
Required Skills
10+ years’ experience in Commercial and/or ABL credit and relationship management experience
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or business administration
Sound financial statement analytical skills
Basic understanding of legal documentation
Must be detail focused and well organized
Proactive/confident communication skills (both verbal and written) to interact with senior management, clients, attorneys, etc
Ability to thrive in a fast paced business environment with strong time management skills
Computer proficiency in Word and Excel with Power Point a plus
Desired Skills
Audit, underwriting or account management
Understanding of legal documentation
