Technology Initiative Finance Analyst

Job Description:

Responsible for more complex finance activities involving implementation of strategic plans, profitability analysis, forecasting and financial reporting for a business unit or associate area. Supports achievement of business goals by working on more complex activities or projects with others within the unit and with partners. Leads projects and coordinates resources.

This role will be responsible for supporting all financial aspects of the portfolio of technology initiative projects.  The analyst will interact regularly with technology partners and business finance in support of the portfolio.  This includes ensuring projects/programs are accurately represented in the sub-ledger tool (PCM) and providing reporting and ad-hoc analysis to support key business decisions.  This role will also support the software capitalization quarterly process for this portfolio. The analyst should be able to work with cross-functional teams, partners include:  Technology finance teams, project management offices, and Enterprise Change Management.

Required skills:

  • 2+ years of accounting or financial analysis work experience or BS/BA Degree in Finance/Accounting

  • Strong communication, organization, presentation and Advanced Excel skills

  • Ability to visualize, analyze and quickly learn complex operating processes.

  • Ability to problem solve and take ownership of process improvements

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and able to interact with various levels of management.

Desired skills:

  • General Ledger / SAP experience

  • Understanding of financial reporting systems
