
Job Description:
As part of the Chief Investment Office (CIO) Portfolio Management team, the Quantitative Analyst is responsible for automating and enhancing processes via programming and analytical tools. Working with the team, the Quantitative Analyst will support production of performance and trade analysis, commentary collateral for the CIO's centrally-managed portfolios, and other ad hoc projects.

Job Description:
Create and enhance automated processes by using programming languages and analytical tools, such as enhancement of existing trade process management and trading platforms using Excel VBA
Create efficient automation processes that can be managed by others in the team. Properly document code, provide instructions, and train other associates to take over once the project once completed
Extract large data sets from a variety of data sources including SQL database, FactSet, Morningstar, or Bloomberg to then process and manipulate for further analysis while assuring data quality
Leverage strong coding skills (e.g. Python/R) for investment analysis, data visualization, modeling, and creating user friendly tools and dashboards
Gather data and perform analytics as needed (investment analysis, portfolio analysis, ad hoc requests)
Manage discrete components of collateral activities
Knowledge of relevant quantitative methods, performance attribution, and portfolio construction
Knowledge of markets and CIO views and portfolio implications
Expand knowledge of quantitative analysis, portfolio construction and markets
Conduct/participate in meetings with internal Compliance and Marketing partners
Provide effective project management and leadership for all collateral production (ad hoc, monthly, quarterly frequencies)
Measure effectiveness and produce reports of accomplishments and business impact
Coordinate and foster collaborative relationships within the group
Develop strong, effective relationships with business partners
Qualifications:
3 years of applicable working experience and a Bachelor's degree preferably in technical degrees, such as Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or Math
Proficient in Excel VBA, working knowledge of Python/R/SQL
Knowledge and coding experience in Excel VBA, Python, and/or MATLAB preferred
Experience in manipulating large data sets, data analysis, implementing analytical methods such as single and multi-factor regression
CFA or progress towards a CFA is a plus
Desired skills: Strong interpersonal skills/ Attention to detail / Proficient Writer and Communicator / Skilled in Performance Reporting and Attribution / Familiarity with Investments including ETFs and Mutual Funds / Working knowledge of MS Office (advanced Excel skills preferred), Bloomberg, Morningstar and/or FactSet, MPI Stylus
Series 7, 63/65 OR 66 or the ability to gain license within 120 days is required
Excellent communications, writing and editing capabilities
Project leadership skills, including a demonstrated ability to lead multi-functional project teams to drive to concrete results and actions
Proven effectiveness in fast-paced environment; ability to manage within tight deadlines
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
