Job Title:   Conformance and Transaction Testing Coordinator Lead for European Regulatory Reporting

Role Description:

This role aligns to the European Regulatory Reporting (ERR) Team within the CFO Global Financial Control (GFC) department. ERR’s purpose is to drive high quality regulatory reports through operationally efficient processes to support the production of various regulatory reports as required by European Regulators

Primary responsibility for this role is to lead the Conformance and Transaction Testing coordination for ERR. The teammate in this role will work closely with the US based Regulatory Reporting Conformance and Transaction Review Program Team (CTRP) in the CFO Operational Risks and Control Oversight (ORCO) organization of Global Financial Control (GFC), to ensure conformance of ERR’s external submissions. 

The role will have responsibility for managing and engaging the activities to enable CTRP to complete independent conformance and transaction assessments. These activities will cover all of ERR’s external regulatory submissions. This role will require working with CTRP to develop and execute their regular testing and coverage for ERR’s reporting. The teammate will develop business partner relationships throughout the finance organization in the performance of this role’s activities.

This role will require: identifying and prioritizing testing scope; working across the ERR team to facilitate testing by CTRP; completing report impact assessment based on final test observations; and identifying and implementing compensating controls for impacted reports.

The Team:

  • The ERR team is ~100 individuals based London, Dublin, Paris and India

  • The team prepares and submits regulatory reports for the material entities in the UK, Ireland and Paris

  • Interaction will be across whole of EMEA CFO group, as well as Front Office, Risk partners and Technology

Core Skills:

  • Experience within the financial services or banking industry

  • Strong understanding of Finance processes including governance and internal controls

  • Understanding of financial statements and banking products

  • Familiarity with European regulatory reporting requirements / technical requirements is preferred

  • Ability to work with and across a team in multiple locations

  • Proven organizational, motivational leadership and negotiating skills

  • Expected competencies for success in this role include:

  • People Leadership – ability to lead through influence, motivate and empower others, indirectly managing/leading and multi-tasking across multiple teams and locations

  • Partnering – ability to partner collaboratively and constructively, within the ERR team, across the GFC group and more broadly across other departments

  • Communication – ability to communicate very effectively, including strong written, verbal and summarization skills
